Braille Institute Names Winners of the 2022 Braille Challenge

Los Angeles — June 27, 2022 — Celebrating more than 100 years of positively transforming the lives of those with vision loss, Braille Institute announced the winners of the 2022 Braille Challenge this past Saturday at the Finals Award Ceremony held at the University of Southern California campus.

Braille Institute Announces 2022 Teacher of the Year Melinda Demaris

Los Angeles, May 18, 2022 -- Braille Institute has named Melinda Demaris as its 2022 “Teacher of the Year” for excellence in braille instruction. The award is part of Braille Institute’s annual Braille Challenge competition, the only academic competition of its kind in North America and the U.K. for students who are blind or visually impaired.

Finalists Announced for 2022 Braille Challenge Finals

Los Angeles, May 5, 2022 – Braille Institute is proud to announce the 50 finalists for the 2022 Braille Challenge Finals competition. These competitors achieved the highest scores in the braille literacy testing competition, out of over 800 youth across the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom.
