You are receiving this email because you requested help with Microsoft Teams when signing up for a Braille Institute event.

Before the date of the event, please follow the instructions below to test your access to Microsoft Teams for the event:
Today, or any time before the time of the event, you can test your device’s ability to connect by clicking the link in the class details email sent after registering.

If you are joining on a computer:

Your internet browser will open and present you with three options:
1. Download Teams (work or school)
2. Continue on this browser
3. Open Teams (work or school)

Choose the second option, to “Continue on this browser.”

Your internet browser will open a page that allows you to enter your name and click a button to “Join now.” If you have reached this page, you are ready to join on the day of the event. Just use the same link and procedure in this email to join at the day and time of the event.

If you are joining on an iPhone/iPad or Android Device:

Please note that mobile device users will be prompted to download the Microsoft Teams app after clicking the “Click here to join meeting” link in this email. For the best experience, mobile device users should follow the prompts to download the Teams app.

After you download the Teams app, the “Click here to join meeting” link will redirect you to the app and connect you to your Braille Institute event.

If this is your first time using the Teams app, you may choose the option to “Join as a guest,” then enter your name and click “Join meeting.” If you have reached this step, you are ready to join on the day of the event. Just use the same link and procedure in your class details email to join at the day and time of the event.

*Please note that your device may prompt you to allow Teams to access your device’s camera and microphone. If you would like to be seen or heard during the meeting, you must allow Teams to access your device’s camera or microphone, respectively.
