Many older adults want to “age in place”—stay in their homes as they get older—but may have concerns about safety, mobility, and other daily activities. In this workshop, we will discuss tips on making your home safer and more accessible for those experiencing age-related changes and vision loss. Topics include simple to advanced home modifications, organizational techniques, lighting principles, and more. Additional resources for aging in place safely and independently will be shared.

This workshop is hosted by Richard Ellsworth, Independent Living Skills instructor, and Caitlin Covert, Low Vision Occupational Therapist, from the Santa Barbara Center.

Please call 1-800-BRAILLE (272-4553) if you have questions or need assistance.
