The Braille Challenge® is designed to set a high standard of achievement for braille students. Like any discipline, braille proficiency takes study and practice. 2021 Pandemic Supplemental Handbook
Agencies who host a regional Braille Challenge® are given a handbook with detailed instructions on how to plan their own event. The 2021 Pandemic Supplemental Handbook outlines modified program delivery options in response to COVID-19 and its varying health restrictions.

Instructions for Updating Student Registration Log and Scoring Grid 2021 (Excel)
All Regional Coordinators will be sent an electronic Registration Log template in Excel that includes students who have participated in their region in past years. Please update and add new contestants, then return your updated log within a week of your event. This document includes instructions on how to fill out this sheet. Hard copy of the parent/guardian permission forms will be sent with the requested contests to the teachers who are administering individual contests in January. You may also download it here. A parent/guardian Permission Form must be signed by a parent or guardian and attached to the student’s completed contest when they are returned by mail to Braille Institute.
