It’s Time for Braille Challenge 2023

The 2022 Braille Challenge Finals was back in person this year! It was a grand celebration of braille literacy at USC. Did you miss it? Click here to go to the recording of the Awards Ceremony.

As we enter the 23rd year of Braille Challenge we are excited to welcome new and returning coordinators to our Braille Challenge community. We value your dedication to excellence in the education of our youth and look forward to an exciting Braille Challenge season.

All signs point to another incredible year. Our hope for the season is that we’ll see a return to closer-to-normal learning experiences, including more in-person programming and social activities.

We view education as a life-long process and continue to learn every year from the students, parents, educators, transcribers and supporters who make up the Braille Challenge community. Thank you all and we look forward to creating more memories year!

Braille Challenge is the only academic competition of its kind held in January through March each year in North America for students who are blind or visually impaired. Braille Institute developed Braille Challenge to motivate students to practice and hone their braille literacy skills, which are essential to academic and employment success. Learn more…
