Best in Tech offers a great opportunity to those who are interested in learning about the latest innovations in assistive technology for the blind and partially sighted. This is a free conference and includes lunch for pre-registered attendees.
Learn from actual users of latest assistive technology about their favorite solutions; mobile devices and helpful apps, OCR products, CCTVs, digital book readers, note takes, and iOS & Android related products. Attend workshops to learn about what’s new with Sweetman Systems including JAWS, BrailleNote Touch, BrailleSense Polaris, the new QBraille from HIMS, and explore other topics.
Visit booths, such as HumanWare and OrCam, to get hands on experience and learn about the latest gadgets and solutions. Shop for holiday gifts and take advantage of special discounts. High-tech items will be raffled throughout the day.

Keynote Guest Speaker:
Bio: Dean Hudson developed a passion for computers at a young age despite having his vision muddled by glaucoma before going completely blind at age 20 while earning his degree in Computer Science at San Jose State University. Hudson has worked in engineering now for nearly 30 years, spending the past 13 years as a quality assurance engineer for Apple’s accessibility design and quality team, which makes sure all of the company’s hardware, software and services are accessible to everyone.
