Guest Speaker is Violet Rodriguez of the Fair Housing Council of Orange County, which was founded in 1965 in the wake of the civil rights movement. Their services include comprehensive community education, individual counseling, mediation and low-cost advocacy. FHCOC works to eliminate housing discrimination and guarantee the rights of all people to freely choose housing for which they qualify in the area they desire.
Community Resources with Guest Speakers is an 8-week series of workshops. Each week we introduce a different guest speaker from different communities to talk about their resource with time for demonstrations, explanations, and Q&A. Our speakers join us on Microsoft TEAMS so anyone can join online or listen and participate on the phone. Each workshop must be registered for individually and Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are available on request for each workshop attended. Wednesdays, 1:00 pm – 2:30 pm PT, May 4-June 22, 2022.
Join us for this open online workshop – we welcome all participants!
Please call 1-800-BRAILLE (272-4553) with any questions. Presented by the Braille Institute Laguna Hills Staff.
