When can I return to the library at the center?

In-person library services are currently available. Circulation of mailed library books is available to all patrons. Patrons can also continue to download books using BARD. If you need assistance, please call our reader advisors at 1-800-808-2555.

Will library patrons who return on-site need to be fully COVID-19 vaccinated?

Yes. Library patrons visiting an on-site library will be required to be fully vaccinated* and provide proof of vaccination. Library services will continue to be available remotely for those patrons who are not vaccinated.

What can I expect when I return to the centers?

Each center has a single-entry area for check-ins and to verify if individuals are fully vaccinated*. Masks are optional at this time, unless you are unvaccinated (due to a medical or religious exemption) – then a mask is required. Surgical/medical grade, N95 or KN95 face mask are suggested. High traffic and common areas of the center will be cleaned and disinfected regularly.

Are masks required to visit a center or during in-home visits?

Masks are optional for all at this time unless you have not been vaccinated (due to a medical or religious exemption) – than a mask is required. Masks may be removed when actively eating or drinking.

*Definition of Fully Vaccinated

The definition of “fully vaccinated” is having received both shots of a two-dose vaccination series (Pfizer or Moderna) or the one-shot Johnson & Johnson vaccine AND received a booster once booster-eligible, which is 6 months after the second dose for Pfizer or Moderna, or 2 months after the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
