About Albinism

Albinism is a genetic condition that affects the pigmentation of the skin, hair, and eyes, and causes sensitivity to sunlight. Due to a malformation of the eye structure, individuals with albinism often have low vision.

Marleena Barber hasn’t let albinism limit her dreams. A former student of Braille Institute, this married mother of two is now the very accomplished Director of Braille Institute’s award winning Johnny Mercer Children’s Choir, as well as a professional singer.
