This year, Braille Institute is proud to offer a free Summer Reading Program for Adults to encourage reading during the hot summer months!

The challenge is simple – read for 30 minutes a day for 50 days in June and July and log your reading using the READsquared website, or the READsquared mobile app.

Research shows that adults, not just children, can benefit from regular recreational reading. The challenges in the program are designed to be voluntary and fun. People read for a variety of reasons including knowledge, personal development, entertainment, and inspiration. No matter what your interests are, you are welcome to join us!

You can read any way you’d like – audiobooks, braille books, or large print!

The Summer Reading Program for Adults takes place between June 10 and July 29, 2020.

How to Sign-Up:

On your smart device, download the free mobile app “READsquared” and search for “Braille Institute.” By using the mobile app, you get the added convenience and flexibility of logging your progress whenever and wherever you are!

You can also sign-up by visiting the website and choosing the “Adult Summer Reading Program.”

All participants will receive a prize. We will also have extra raffle prize opportunities for those who complete the 50-day challenge and write book reviews as they go.

If you need help registering, or if you have any questions about the program, contact Reed Strege at or call 323-906-3185.
